My lockdown blog

 At the minute,I am learning from home because of the coronavirus. What does the coronavirus mean you ask.Well the coronavirus means that everything will be closed except the things you need like shops but all the restaurants and toy shops will be closed.

What I am doing at home is, in the morning I do exercise with Joe Wicks, who is a PE teacher online. After that i do some maths like multiplication and division. This all comes in a pack from school. We also have English and science some of it is fun and some of it's not.

The bits I think are fun are most of the science especially the volcano eruption. That was one of the best parts ever. We don't do stuff like that at school. The English was boring for me but that is because I don't really like it anyway.

Day 2

As you know I have been learning about volcanoes, So me and my Mum decided to watch a documentary called expedition volcano. It was awesome, full of interesting facts, especially the lava pool which was 1000 degrees ..... I won't tell you any more so you can go and watch it.

People have been drawing rainbows to say thank you to the people at work, I was a bit late to the game and did mine today. One of my chores today was to help take down our shed and put a new one up it was very hard work.

After my "school day" I usually  go for a walk. Today on my walk I saw all types of wildlife like Pheasants and a Robin. I also saw some cabbage white Butterflies some wild flowers called Red Campion and some Bluebells I have some pictures but not one of the Pheasant because it was too  quick.

Day 3

So my day got off to a really good start because I ran 2.5km without stopping and I saw a Rabbit sat in the middle of the road until the lorry came then it ran away. After that we started my learning with converting improper fractions to mixed numbers. It was simple, then I did some mental maths, which was a bit harder than the other maths I did before.

After that I did some English yes the subject I really don't like. After I did something, that was really fun, I planted some seeds they were French dwarf  beans, Carrots and peas. You see that relative clause back there that's what I learnt today.

After I have done my blog for today I am going to go and play badminton. I don't know if you are but I will be clapping tonight for all the Key workers like my Dad.

Day 4

So it's Friday yay the end of the week.Today I was meant to be going to the Holocaust center which is why I said what is it like to be an Evacuee?

With hindsight the first wave of evacuation (1st September 1939) presented a number of problems for the evacuees. Families living in the safe areas were understandably not generally happy about having someone else's child thrust on them, particularly as these first evacuees were from poor inner cities and  considered rough and uncouth. In the circumstances, many of the host families treated the evacuees as nothing more than cheap labour, either for the farms or for housework. Also because the host families tried to make money from the 8 shillings paid by the government for each child's keep, many of the children were malnourished as well as being ill-treated and seriously unhappy away from home and their parents

Now let's get on to what I have done. So I have been doing a run every morning and today I have gone the furthest in a long time I went 3.5km. After that I did some maths. Today I did mixed Numbers to Improper Fractions and a whole page of times tables.

Then I did some painting, I painted a volcano I have pictures.

Day 5

It's Monday, yes I did have two days off but that was because it was the weekend. But I am back now so let's get on with it.

Well first I did some more badminton I basically do it every day but it is a fun game and it also helps your muscles. Then I just relaxed for the rest of the day. We also had a barbecue it was very nice we had some chicken some pork and a lovely salad.

The next day, we did some more badminton. And then did exactly the same thing as Saturday from except the barbecue.

Today I did some more planting I planted some Strawberry's and some Cucamelon. Do you know what it is. It is a cross between a Cucumber and a watermelon.  I did some maths like times tables and decimals and mental maths. I have some pictures.

Day 6

I'm back, oh yes I am and today I'm still waiting for my skipping rope. It has been 4 weeks. I'm beginning  to lose my patience. Now I don't know about you but the lovely weather has disappeared. Where did it go?

Do you go on a walk every day? I do yesterday I went 5km So let's get on to what I have been doing. Firstly I made some peanut butter brownies yum yum!!! I also put some of my old toys outside for people to take. I have now inspired other people to do the same. I have some pictures to show you.

Day 7

Hello, I am back and today we are going strait into what I have been doing. Firstly I did some maths like this challenge my teacher set up. Then I did some more maths which was percentages and I got the hang of it quite quickly

After that I did some English which was to make a menu for someone and my mum and dad really  liked the sound of it. Then I watched the rest of expedition volcano it was very good here are some facts. Did you know that one of the volcanoes has these people on that if they see you than they can come and kill you.

Day 8

Hello and welcome back to my blog, Today we have a lot to catch up on so let's get on with it. My mum has now got a job yay!!! well done Mummy. So I went to my child minder for a bit we did sport on the Wii fit - I won. 

The next day, I helped my Dad with the shed roof it was hard. Also I have now got three pea plants come up they are growing every day. 

I have been very lucky because my Nanny and Grandad have been posting lot's of stuff to me like postcards I even got a book called The Railway Children it is meant to be a good book. I haven't read it yet. 

I also got a carved piece of wood from my cousins that said Everyone loves a hug here's one from us to you. it is very nice thank you. 

I did a deal with my Mum and it was if I am good for a week I can have a present and I won so I got a remote control RC car I love it. The RC car goes 15.5 mph very very fast. I also got a skipping rope and some new shuttlecocks with feathers on they are very good and very bouncy.

At the weekend we played badminton I played on my go kart which is a hover board with a kart on the top it is very fast. After that we had a movie afternoon. We watched instant family it is a good film. we had beef curry for tea one night and roast Pork for the other any way I have some pictures but before that there is one more thing yesterday I had some pancakes they were very nice. now that's it for today.

Day 9

Hello yes I am back, And today we going straight into what I have been doing. First yesterday I did some work and I found it very easy. After that I did some gardening. 

Big shout out to my cousin Ellie-Mae, who can now ride her bike without stabilisers ... Go Ellie! Go Ellie!

Today I did some more work like maths on oak academy and I cleaned Nanny's car. I also made some bunting for VE day.  Guess what! I looked at  my plants and I have six pea plants!!! We also went on a skip walk that is doing 1000 skips on a walk. We did 1007. That's it for today I have pictures bye.

Day 10

Hello and welcome to my lockdown blog, And today we have quite a bit to talk about so let's get started.  I now have seven pea plants it is incredible and I just looked at them and they are so tall at least some are.

Me and my Mum have made a union jack and bunting for VE day they look very good to say they are homemade.  After that I helped my Mum make chili  for my Dad But we all had some and it was very nice.

Yesterday me and my Mum had to go shopping for some plants but when we got in  there wasn't any and I was really annoyed because we came out for nothing. Anyway that's it for today come back tomorrow to find out what I have been up to.

Day 11

Hello and welcome back to my lockdown blog. Today we will get straight into it. First of all my pea plants have all come up and they look really good. On Saturday me and my Dad played badminton all afternoon while my mum was at work .....it was great fun, and I'm getting better at it!

The next day we just relaxed because it was so cold, and we watched 2 movies called Max and Max 2. They were really good. Today I did some maths, english and my blog. Also one of my bean plants have come up. That's it for today come back tomorrow to find out more Bye!!

Day 12

Hello and welcome back to my lockdown blog. So, what have I been up to?. First  we all watched two movies called the Secret Garden and the other The Dogs Journey. They were both really good movies.

The next day me and Mummy planted some flowers and put down  some bark chippings. The flowers look really nice because it adds some colour to our front and back garden. We are also going to paint some stones today or tomorrow. Last night as a special treat we had a takeaway Chinese - king prawn chow mein for me - tasted fab!

Day 13 - unlucky for some!!

Hello and welcome back to my lockdown blog.  So what have I been up to? Well let's find out.  First the weather is not very nice now is it? I don't think it is.  I haven't done much so today so won't be very long. 

Last night we made some triple chocolate cookies .... well, we tried to BUT, mum couldn't get caster sugar, so we had to use granulated, and no plain flour either, so we had to use self raising - it was a bit of an experiment to see how they would turn out .... let me show you what they look like ...

Well, let me tell you, they tasted just fine - perfect in fact!

Today I have done some BBC bitesize work like maths and english and designing. So that's really it for today come back tomorrow to find out more! Bye bye.

Day 14

Hello and welcome to my lockdown blog, so because there is a lot to talk about we will get straight into it. First the size of my plants is unreal. And I have 2 cucamelon plants!!   We didn't really do much at the weekend so I am going to skip it and go onto Monday. My dad did cut my hair though ... he did an ok  job!! Look ....

Yesterday I started off with some maths and then english it was quite fun well I suppose it was except from the english that wasn't. Then I got to build some lego I built a lego robot it looks quite good if i'm honest.

Today I did some maths and english and also my blog. Also I got to go on a walk, by the river ....we went quite far. My dad said we walked 4.2 miles. That's it for today come back tomorrow to find out more.

Half Term.

Hello and welcome back to my lockdown blog. Today we have a lot to talk about so let's get straight into it. First, Last Thursday me and my mum tried a wood fired pizza because someone,  I think was a family, came round to Newton and  I must admit it was very nice. 

Next, Me and my mum planted some Beetroot and Potatoes and the beetroot are already coming up WOW!!!.  So me and my next door neighbours all played together whilst social distancing it is really fun but now they are back at school so I can't really play much.  

My mum also brought a new football because all my other ones have popped. After that me and my mum went on a social distancing  picnic with my friend it was fun we even went in my pool. Whilst we are talking about my pool I got a new one and it is very big.

Then I did a video chat to my cousins Demi, Ellie and Tegan and they were crazy and I mean crazy. After that I did a video chat to my Nan and that went on for ages. When I had finished I had a phone call from my other cousin Oscar and uncle Andy and that was fun.

 Finally me and my childminder took her dog for a walk. I stayed at her house for spag bol as mum had to work late.

Hello and welcome back to my lockdown blog. So let's see what I have been up to. First, for Lunch I had a Mediterranean salad it was very nice.

Next, I went in my very big paddling pool with my friend.  Also one of my potatoes have come up WOW!!!.  But for work I have been doing a booklet which has maths and english in.

Now can someone tell me where all this sun has gone? 

I have started going to my childminder till 7pm and that is very late. Tonight me and my mum are having another stone baked pizza yum yum.

Hello and welcome back to my lockdown blog. So what have I been up. Let's find out.  First plant update they are doing very well. Also  what has happened to the weather  it is terrible.  I have just got a new game called  bananagrams I am going to play it today and I got some new pyjamas.

This morning I had pancakes. They were very yummy.  Yesterday I did tons of work maths, english  and reading comprehension, which I hate !!!.  yesterday I also finished a book called Diary of a Wimpy Kid. It is a really good book. 

Yesterday after all my work I played with my next door neighbour .  This morning I ran 2000 steps round the block to wake up. A few days ago I went on a walk with my mum and football I have pictures.

12th June 

Hello and welcome back to my lockdown blog.  Even though the weather hasn't been that good we have still managed to get out and about as you can see in the pictures below. 

This week I have been looking at wildlife and nature. Here are some things I have seen: Squirrels, Pheasant, Black Bird, Robin, Rabbits, Horses, Swans and Ducks.

I have just watched a volcano video here are some facts.  There are 500 active volcanoes!!! and sulphur dioxide is a dioxide which smells like rotten eggs.

Hello and welcome back to my lockdown blog. So let's see what I have been up to.  First  I  have had my Chinese  that I have been wanting for a very long time. I also had fish and chips which were both very yummy.

Next  I walked to East Bridgford and that was great fun.  Also these thunderstorm's are very annoying aren't  they.  Well when I said they were annoying it isn't all annoying because I can play in them.

As you can see further down my plants are doing very well.

Hello and welcome back to my lockdown blog. So let's see what I have been up to. First Yesterday I started a experiment to see how long it takes to grow fungus. First, you need to make your gelatine & you pour 3/4 of the gelatine into 3 jars with lids. You then get 3 pieces of string about 8 cm long.  After that you put the string into the gelatine and then wipe it on something in the house. After you have done that get a label write down where you put it & put the label on the jar. Then in 24 hours to a week you should have fungus. The areas we used are: the tap, the work surface and the toilet (ugh!) - mummy is hoping that none of them grow anything! 

We also did this Fathers day card made out of sand. It was a lot of  fun and I made a lot of mess!!! I am very pleased with the result.  I hope my Dad and Grandads  do too.

I also played out with my next door neighbour on her trampoline, which is why I did 20,000 steps.

Hello and welcome back to my lockdown blog. We have a lot to catch up on so let's get started. First I went to visit my Nanny and Grandad  and I had so much fun !!!  First we went on a walk. Then I played Tennis with my cousin and his dad and someone called bowley  and that was really fun too. 

After that we came home and I did a jigsaw with my Nanny and Grandad. And eventually because I was there for 4 days I did 4 jigsaw puzzles. 

The next day I woke up and did a 3k run with Aunty Valerie  on her bike. Later that day I took  my scooter and went in the car to milcote and went down a track and got really muddy and so did my bike. 

Plant update!!!

So all my plants have come up and they are basically  exactly the same as last time.

Fungus update!!!

so some are making fungus now it looks disgusting so toilet seat grew in 4 day's and the kitchen surface took 5 day's to come but the other one still hasn't come up.

Hello and welcome back to my lockdown blog. So let's find out what i have been up to. First I have finally got my KFC and Chinese. It was so yummy!!! Next we back on to school work :(  It is still boring especially the english Yuck. 

update on veg 

So my Carrots, Tomatoes, Peas, Beetroot, beans, potatoes and cucamelon  have all come up now all we are waiting for are the Strawberry's.

 update on experiment 

So they have all got some in now and some have lots of it. Yuck!!! Here is a photo ..... it shows that bugs grow everywhere if they have food, moisture and warmth ....... 

Finally the park has re-opened YAY.  Also I went to Rushcliffe to meet my friend Holly to feed the ducks, go on the cycle track, have an ice cream and go to hers and play on the trampoline.  

Did I tell you, it's my birthday next week? In about 144 hours 

17. 7 2020 

Hello and welcome back to my lockdown blog. so lets see what i have been up to. First I went to my nanny and grandads house. whilst we were there we went to look at scarecrows and they were amazing. I couldn't choose my favourite.

Next I got my school report yay it was really good and I got a medal. Then on tuesday for my birthday we all went go karting it was so fun. I got faster and faster each time. My Nanny and grandad also had their first ever KFC ... they liked it and want another!!! 

Plant update so I have eaten lots of tomatoes and peas they are very yummy. I have also started playing cricket ... I really enjoy it it's great fun! 

School is now officially out for summer, so that's another 6 weeks at home  ........ 

Some good news ..... Leeds united are back in the premier league .. it's official!!
